Inn great room with couches an extensive library and fireplace

The Main Lodge

The main lodge building was built in 1995 and is surrounded by over 3 wooded acres with seasonal manicured gardens, expansive decks and views of the continental divide and nearby Devil’s Thumb Ranch. The lodge offers guests 7 king or queen rooms with private baths. The Great Room is overlooked by the upstairs hallway and features a guest library, fireplace and views out over the back deck where we do get wildlife visitors and bird friends stopping by. The back decks are the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine or craft Colorado beer after a long day hiking, biking or cross-country skiing. The nearby hot tub is the perfect place to soak your tired bones, and is a can’t miss amenity at night once snow is on the ground at our Fraser bed and breakfast.

Inn Expansion

Three private cabins were added in 2003 to provide guests even more romantic seclusion and allow for our love of dogs enjoying the mountains. The hot tub and decks were added to enhance the enjoyment of outdoor experiences for guests.

The owners and innkeepers are happy to share their insider tips for the best mountain bike and hiking trails, places to spot wildlife, restaurants and more. Just let us know what you’re looking to do during your romantic Colorado mountain getaway and we will help make it happen.

About Your Hosts

Many people daydream about owning a bed and breakfast somewhere cool. John and Chris actually made the leap in 2001, and Wild Horse Inn was born – out of their love of high mountain beauty, of cooking and entertaining – and of skiing, mountain biking, trail running and alpenglow. Sharing their passion for the Fraser Valley with Inn guests is the touchstone of their work at Wild Horse Inn.

Dancing in the Meadow

Weddings at the Inn soon followed, and the Wild Horse Catering Company was started to take care of events on-site. After just one year in house, the Catering Company had so many requests to work at venues throughout the area, Chris and John expanded the staff and the services, and continue to cater all types of events today.

Join them at Wild Horse Inn and see why they love it all so much!
