From Wild Horse Inn, take CR 83 to Hwy 40 and head into Fraser. Park at the Alco Shopping Center and begin your ride by riding the Fraser River Trail to the Winter Park Resort. Ride into the Resort (past the gate near the Human Maze) and ride behind the Resort buildings. The road, now Turnpike, will turn to dirt. Continue on the dirt road to Long Trail. Serenity starts shortly after entering Long Trail.
Serenity Trail will merge with Lower Cherokee Trail. Turn right at this junction, then left onto Tracks Trail. Turn left onto Ice Hill and climb to the top where the trail levels out and rolls along. At the end of Ice Hill cross a dirt road (Little Vasquez) and ride up Blue Sky Trail. This is a gentle climb to where it meets Tunnel Hill road. Turn left and climb up Tunnel Hill road, passing Chickadee Trail on your left. Stay on the road until you intersect Little Vasquez road. Turn left here and take this road all the way back into Winter Park. Return to the Fraser River Trail and retrace your ride back to your car.
“One option is to take Chickadee Trail down instead of staying on Tunnel Hill Road. This is a technical descent – short and sweet. When you dump off of Chickadee you are back on Little Vasquez and you can cruise back into town.”
